Who are the Manufacturers and Directors of Muji?

As with the designers, the manufacturers are also kept private by Muji Singapore . But, the only exception here is when they collaborated with Thonet, who is the oldest German furniture maker. In the year 2008, Muji and Thonet delivered two lines of minimalist furniture. The first line was the bentwood chairs made by James Irvine to pay tribute to no. 14 chair or Thonet. And the second line was the steel tubular furniture, which were duly designed by Konstantin Grčić.

The very first art director was Ikko Tanaka. Ikko Tanaka collaborated by Kazuko Koike and Takashi Sugimoto and expressed the vision and appearance of Muji. In 2001, Kenya Hara was declared the art director.
